Health Guarantee - Minneola Doodles

Each of our puppies has had the best of care while here with us.  To my knowledge, when your puppy leaves our care, it is in excellent health.

Buyer:

1. Buyer cannot sell puppy to any kind of Pet store or purchase puppy with the intent to resell.
2. Buyer will keep puppy up-to-date on all vaccines and other medical treatment as needed.
3. Buyer will discuss the importance of avoiding Parvo/Distemper infection with his/her Vet prior to taking puppy out for "show and tell" (out in public/dog parks or walks).

4. Buyer will provide a suitable play, sleeping and eating area inside for puppy.
5. Buyer acknowledges that falls down stairs, or off of furniture, can damage joints; jumping off furniture and splaying hips from landing on slippery floors can also damage puppy's joints. (For more information, please discuss with your Vet.)

6. If at any time the new owner cannot take care of the puppy/dog, we are to be notified of the situation and will help place the pup/dog into another loving home or we will take the pup/dog back (no refund). Under no circumstances can the pup/dog be placed in an animal shelter, dog pound or pet rescue.

7. Buyer acknowledges that there is no guarantee on training or puppy's final weight, coat, color or texture, or amount of shedding if any.

8.  Buyer understands that puppy is being sold as pet only.  We recommend getting them spayed/neutered by 11 months of age.  Failure to do so will void the guarantee below.

Minneola Doodles provides a health warranty relating to severe or life threatening diseases  up to the 1 year of age under the following conditions:

1. The condition is designated severe or life threatening by two independent veterinarians, one of which will be a vet of Minneola Doodles choosing and discretion, and all diagnostic data including x-rays are provided to Minneola Doodles and findings are reviewed and agreed to by a vet of Minneola Doodle’s choosing.  This does not include maladies that are common among any living creature ie: ear infections, food or environmental allergies, misaligned teeth or any cosmetic dental procedures.  This guarantee is for severe or life threatening diseases (life threatening or life altering to the extent that it is not treatable or that it causes severe pain and suffering) for the time period of up to 1 year of age.

2.  In the case of Hip Dysplasia (HD) or Elbow Dysplasia (ED) or Life Threatening Disease
    a.   Purchasers are hereby cautioned about the importance of a good quality diet and the risks of overfeeding, and excessive exercise too early in their development.  A RAW diet must not be given solely in the first year of life while bones are developing.  Weight must be included on the vet report to support the above.  Minneola Doodles will not guarantee against HD/ED caused by any of the above reasons.

    b. The purchaser has abided by the information supplied by Minneola Doodles and has abided by the cautions regarding the correct exercise and raising regimes for optimum health of growing dogs.

3.  Subject to all conditions of this agreement being met, replacement of the puppy from the next available litter or a refund 1/2 of the purchase price, at Minneola Doodles discretion, if the purchaser desires to keep the dog.   Proof of HD/ED, by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) is required before a replacement/refund will be made.  Minneola Doodles reserves the right to confirm OFA testing before a replacement/refund is made.  Minneola Doodles does not reimburse any veterinary expenses or travel costs at any time for either of the pup's lives.

4.  The dog is only guaranteed to the original purchaser.  If the dog has been sold, the health guarantee becomes void.

5.  Puppy/Dog must have been kept current of all vaccinations including rabies.  Copies of these records will be required to be submitted to breeder if purchaser is requesting replacement.  Puppies or Adults who have not been given these treatments on a regular basis are not covered under the health guarantee.  Minneola Doodles recommends doing rabies vaccinations separately from other vaccinations.

We cannot guarantee that your puppy will never develop any health problems, just as a pediatrician cannot guarantee a child will never develop any health problems in the future. Some things are just not able to be predicted. Our parents are free of diseases, disorders, and health problems; otherwise we would not breed them. That means our puppies are less likely to develop problems. If anything does occur, you are required to inform us so we can evaluate the parents and other puppies from that litter in an attempt to determine the cause of the ailment and to eliminate the issue from our breeding program.

Minneola Doodles guarantees against fatal viruses for 48 hours after purchase. These include, but are not limited to, PARVO, DISTEMPER. No guarantee on fatal viruses after 48 hours.

Great care has been exercised to ensure the puppy is free of parasites, worms, coccidia, and giardia.  Since these are very common in puppies, the guarantee does not cover these very treatable conditions as they could be from the stress of moving, over handling, or lack of rest.  Your puppy has been treated on a schedule from the age of 2 weeks for these conditions and it is now the Buyers responsibility to continue any needed treatments and have the puppy checked for parasites on a regular basis.

Breeder will not replace or refund for any personal reasons, but not limited to, allergies, mortality, landlord’s disapproval, family disagreement or any other problems not related to health, nor for a puppy’s illness caused by neglect, exposure to weather, injury, choking, poisoning, etc.  This warranty does not include viral illnesses, infections, improper bites, hernias, patella luxation, cancer, retained testicles, food allergies, minor heart murmurs (level 1 or 2), thyroid issues, or ear infections/mites. It also does not include any illness due to the ingestion of foreign objects, food, chemicals, physical injury or issues whose cause is unknown or may have an environmental link. These are not considered life threatening diseases.

Upon taking ownership of the puppy, on this day X X, 20XX the buyer accepts the health guarantee as stated above.
